Explore Icy Strait in style aboard our custom built 6 passenger whale watching catamaran with an enclosed heated cabin, restroom, indoor seating, outdoor seating, & 360 degree walk around viewing deck. We limit our vessel to 6 passengers max (whether private or mixed) to provide our guests with an uncrowded, relaxed, and intimate wildlife experience. On the day of your tour, we will pick you up from your cruise ship port and return you via van. Our excursion is 3 hours and 45 minutes from pick up to drop off (includes meeting, transit, & loading time). We designed this excursion to be one of the longest whale watching tours offered in Icy Strait. This extra time on the water allows us the opportunity to fully experience Icy Strait's rich diversity of marine wildlife. We guarantee whale sightings or you will receive a full refund. We designed our calendar to accommodate as many ships as possible. A calendar listing specific ships can be found on our Vivid Endeavors website.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the whale watching tour?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I’d recommend it for kids aged 5 and up since it can be a long trip and they need to stay seated. They do have room for strollers if you have a little one. Just keep in mind that the best viewing spots are on the deck, and it can get chilly out there, so dress them warmly!

Q: What should I wear for the whale watching tour?

A: Definitely layer up! It can be chilly out on the water, even in summer. A waterproof jacket is a must since you might get some spray. Also, wear comfortable shoes since you’ll want to move around to catch the best views. Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen – the glare off the water can get intense!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather isn't safe for the tour, they'll usually reschedule or offer a full refund. Make sure to check their cancellation policy on their website. When I went, they kept us updated on the forecast and even called the night before to confirm we were still good to go.

Just got back from the Icy Strait Whale Watching Tour!

OMG, you guys! I just did the Icy Strait Whale & Wildlife Endeavor tour last week, and it was unbelievable! We saw a humpback whale breach right next to the boat! The crew was super friendly and really knew their stuff. Plus, the indoor seating was so comfy. If you’re thinking of gifting this to someone, DO IT! It's a killer experience, and you won't regret it.

Thinking about gifting the whale watching experience

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting the Icy Strait whale watching tour for my parents’ anniversary. They love marine life but have never been to Alaska. Is this tour good for older folks? And do they have restroom facilities on board?
