Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but younger kids might find some parts of the hike challenging. It's really up to the kid's hiking ability. I took my 10-year-old daughter, and she loved it! Just keep in mind that Preston does like to keep a steady pace, so make sure they can handle that.
A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes and breathable clothes since you’ll be in the sun a lot. I recommend layering because it can get cooler in the shade. Oh, and don't forget a hat and sunglasses! Preston also suggested bringing a light backpack for water and snacks.
A: Weather can definitely change quickly up in Boulder. If it rains, Preston will usually reschedule for a better day. Just keep an eye on the forecast! They’re super flexible with that, which is nice. I did have to reschedule once due to a storm, but it was totally worth it when we finally went.

Thinking of gifting the Boulder Flatiron Hike - any thoughts?
I'm considering giving this hike as a gift to my sister for her birthday. She loves the outdoors and I've heard great things about Preston as a guide. I read that he shares a lot of cool stories about the Flatirons and the flora/fauna, which sounds awesome. What's your experience like? Did you feel like it was worth it?
Just did the Boulder Flatiron Hike - it was amazing!
Wow, I just finished the hike with Preston, and I can’t recommend it enough! The views are stunning, and his knowledge about the area is so impressive. He provided snacks and the trekking poles were super helpful. Just a heads up, make sure you’re ready for a good workout, though. Totally worth it!
