Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids at the Independence Seaport Museum?

A: There’s no strict age limit! Kids of all ages can enjoy the museum and the Cruiser OLYMPIA. Just keep in mind that some areas might be more interesting for older kids, but the hands-on exhibits and the boat shop should keep younger ones engaged too!

Q: What should I wear when visiting the Independence Seaport Museum?

A: Comfortable clothing is best, especially since you'll be walking around the ship and museum. Wear closed-toe shoes since some areas can be slippery. If it’s a sunny day, definitely bring a hat and sunscreen if you plan to be outside for a while!

Q: Can you reschedule your visit to the Independence Seaport Museum if something comes up?

A: Yes! You can typically reschedule your visit by contacting their customer service. Just make sure to do it a day or so in advance if possible. They’re pretty accommodating, especially if you have a valid reason.

Thinking about gifting the Independence Seaport Museum tickets!

I’m planning to get tickets for my nephew’s birthday! He’s super into history and ships. The Cruiser OLYMPIA sounds awesome, and I love that it’s the oldest steel warship still floating. Does anyone have tips on parking or how busy it gets on weekends?

Just visited the Independence Seaport Museum – Amazing experience!

I took my kids last weekend and we had such a blast. The Cruiser OLYMPIA was remarkable! The kids were thrilled climbing around the ship. The exhibits in the museum were really interactive too. Also, we got to see some craftsmen working in the Boat Shop, which was super cool. Highly recommend it!
