Q&A
A: No set age limit, but I'd say younger kids might not enjoy the audio tour as much. It’s pretty detailed and can be long. If they’re under 5, you might want to bring a stroller for the ferry ride and walking around the island. Also, just a heads up, they might get a bit restless during the audio tour.
A: Usually, you can't reschedule since it’s a fixed time slot once booked. However, I’ve heard some people have had success contacting customer service for changes. Just check the terms before you book to be sure you're ready for the date you pick!
A: You can take as long as you'd like after the tour, since you can return on any ferry that day. Just keep in mind that your lunch credit needs to be used the same day as your tour. So plan to hit lunch after you’re done exploring the island!

Just booked the Alcatraz tour with lunch! Any tips?
I finally booked the Inside Alcatraz Tour for my husband’s birthday and I’m so excited! We’re gonna grab lunch at Bubba Gump afterward. I heard it’s pretty touristy but the shrimp is supposed to be great. Anyone have tips on what to wear? I heard it can get chilly on the ferry!
Alcatraz was amazing! Lunch at Hard Rock Cafe was perfect.
Just got back from the Inside Alcatraz Tour and it was beyond what I expected! The audio tour in the cell house really brought the place to life. Afterward, we hit up Hard Rock Cafe with our food credit. It felt like a perfect combo—history and good food! Highly recommend!
