This intermediate-level course moves away from a rigid syllabus to provide a bespoke, student-centric experience where your current proficiency and personal goals dictate the curriculum. Whether you are looking to transition from indoor gyms to the crag or are a seasoned single-pitch climber ready for greater heights, we tailor the instruction to fill the specific gaps in your knowledge. You can choose to focus on the technical engineering of anchors and rigging to ensure rock-solid protection, refine your balance and footwork to move with more efficiency and less fatigue, or master multi-pitch skills and climbing evolutions like self-rescue and rope management. By putting you in the driver’s seat, we ensure that every hour of instruction is relevant, challenging, and geared toward making you a more independent and competent climber.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this rock climbing experience?

A: The age limit for the Intermediate Rock Climbing experience is typically around 14 years old, but it can vary depending on the individual’s physical ability and prior climbing experience. It's best to check with Stay Rad Climbing Guides if you’re planning to book for someone younger. They'll help determine if the course is a good fit!

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather's bad?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather’s not cooperating! Stay Rad Climbing Guides is pretty flexible with that. Just make sure to contact them ahead of time. They usually accommodate weather-related changes without any hassle.

Q: What should we wear for the climbing class?

A: I’d recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing that allows for a lot of movement. Tight-fitting clothes are usually better since they won’t get caught on gear. Also, don’t forget to bring layers, just in case the weather changes. The harness and shoes are provided, which is great!

Considering the Intermediate Rock Climbing in Delaware Water Gap!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting this rock climbing course in the Delaware Water Gap for my boyfriend’s birthday. He’s done some indoor climbing but wants to move outdoors. The whole bespoke approach to the training sounds amazing! Has anyone done this before? What was it like? Any tips?

Just Finished the Intermediate Rock Climbing Class!

I just completed the Intermediate Rock Climbing experience in the Pocono Mountains, and wow, it was incredible! They really focus on what you need to improve on, and I learned so much about anchors and multi-pitch climbs. The guides were super chill and knowledgeable. Worth every penny (even though it was free, lol)! Highly recommend it for anyone looking to step up their climbing game!
