The Arizona Memorial serves as the final resting place for nearly 2,000 servicemen. Honor the memory of those who lost their lives, and see their names in this monument dedicated to them.  The USS Missouri Battleship is a giant ship that was once a true war machine during her prime but now rests quietly at Pearl Harbor. Not only will you get a guided tour aboard this giant but you’ll get to trace the historical footsteps of General Douglas MacArthur when he signed the treaty to end WWII. We continue our tour to locations like Iolani Palace, which is the only palace on American soil along with other the coral built Kawaiahao Church. Then you will visit the Punchbowl National Cemetery where your professional tour guide can explain the historical significance and history of the crater.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Intimate WWII tour?

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the tour, but I’d say it’s more suited for those 12 and up. Kids might get bored or have trouble grasping the historical significance. Plus, the tour does involve some walking at sites like Punchbowl, so keep that in mind if you’re bringing younger ones.

Q: What should I wear for the tour? Any recommendations?

A: Comfortable clothing is key! You’ll be outdoors quite a bit, especially at the Arizona Memorial and Punchbowl. Wear breathable fabrics and good walking shoes since there’s some walking involved. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen – Hawaii sun can be intense!

Q: What if the weather's bad on the day of the tour? Do they reschedule?

A: If the weather is really bad, they usually offer to reschedule the tour. I’d recommend giving them a call to confirm the policy, just to be safe. They’re pretty accommodating, and safety is a priority, especially on the water.

Just did the Intimate WWII tour — so impactful!

I recently gifted the Intimate WWII tour to my dad for his birthday, and it exceeded our expectations! The USS Missouri was such a highlight, standing on the deck and imagining its history was surreal. The lunch included was actually pretty good too, which I wasn't expecting! We also loved the stories our guide shared about the Arizona Memorial. If you're thinking about a gift for a history buff, this is a great choice!

Looking for input on the WWII tour gift experience!

Thinking about getting the Intimate WWII tour for my grandparents. They love history! But I'm a bit worried about the walking involved and if they can keep up. Has anyone taken older family members on this tour? Just want to make sure it’s a good fit before I book!
