Q&A
A: If weather conditions aren't safe, they’ll usually reschedule you for another day. Make sure to check the cancellation policy when you book to know your options. If you’re worried about the forecast, try to call ahead to see how strict they are on weather. Better safe than sorry!
A: Definitely! It’s great for kids of all ages, and the crew is super attentive to safety. They also provide life vests and will help your kids with paddleboarding if they need it. Just make sure to keep an eye on them, especially if they're new to swimming in open water!
A: It's about 20-30 minutes from most places in Islamorada, depending on traffic. There’s usually parking available near the marina, but it can fill up on weekends. I’d recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to grab a good spot and get checked in without rushing!

Just went on the Islamorada Sandbar Escape, it was amazing!
Hey everyone! I just did the Islamorada Sandbar Escape and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Florida. The cruise around the island was stunning, and we saw dolphins swimming right beside us! The sandbar was perfect for paddleboarding and hanging out. The snacks were tasty too! I went with my partner, but I think it would be a great gift for families or friends. Totally recommend it!
Thinking of gifting the Sandbar Escape experience—any advice?
I’m looking to gift the Islamorada Sandbar Escape to my sister’s family. They’ve got two kids, and I want to make sure it’s a hit! Is it really kid-friendly? How long do they stay at the sandbar? Any tips on what to bring?
