Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the kayaks or paddleboards?

A: Yes, there is a weight limit of around 250 pounds for the kayaks and paddleboards used during the experience. If anyone is close to that limit, I’d recommend calling ahead just to confirm. The guides are super cool and can help with any concerns!

Q: What should we wear for the paddleboarding lesson?

A: I recommend wearing a swimsuit or quick-drying clothes since you might get splashed or even fall in (I did!). Also, don’t forget sunscreen and a hat, especially if it’s sunny. Flip-flops are fine, but water shoes are a better option for grip.

Q: How difficult is the paddleboarding lesson for first-timers?

A: It’s super beginner-friendly! They start with basic techniques and the guides are really patient. Most people pick it up quickly, and they adjust the lesson based on your skill level. Just relax and enjoy the nature around you; you'll have a blast!

Thinking about gifting the Island City ECO Paddle experience!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking of gifting this ECO Paddle and lesson to my sister for her birthday. She loves nature and has always wanted to try paddleboarding. The whole nature preserve thing sounds so cool! I’m just a little worried about the weather since we’re in Florida. Any tips on how to keep it fun if it rains?

Just did the ECO Paddle experience and loved it!

I recently went to the Island City ECO Paddle and it was amazing! The guides were super friendly, and we saw so many cool birds and iguanas. I was a little nervous at first, but they gave great tips. If you’re considering it as a gift, go for it! The restaurant next door is also a great spot to chill afterward.
