My activity is intimate and personal. Small-group, in home dining means you’re treated like family, not as customers. You get to have real conversations and a deeper connection to the food and cult

Q&A
A: Definitely go for something casual and comfy! You might be moving around a bit and helping out, so avoid any fancy outfits. Bring an apron if you have one; Lela might have some, but it’s always good to be prepared.
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's really geared towards adults and older teens who can appreciate the experience. Lela does a great job accommodating everyone, but younger kids might get bored since it's more about cooking and dining.
A: The experience is in Lela's home, so rain won't affect it at all! It’s a cozy environment, and she has everything set up inside. Just bring your appetite and enjoy cooking regardless of the weather!

Looking for a unique gift? Just booked Island Cooking with Afrochef Lela!
I just reserved the Island Cooking experience with Lela for my parents' anniversary! They love trying new foods and connecting with different cultures, and I think this will be perfect. The personal touch of cooking in her home sounds amazing. Has anyone else done this? What should I expect?
Just had the best cooking experience with Afrochef Lela!
Wow, I just got back from my cooking session with Lela in Fort Lauderdale, and I can't stop raving about it! The atmosphere was so welcoming, and we cooked some incredible jerk chicken and coconut rice. I also loved the way she shared stories about her culture. Would totally recommend this to anyone who loves food!
