Q&A

Q: What's the best way to dress for the tour if we're doing it in the evening?

A: Dress in layers since evenings can get chilly in Oahu. A light jacket is a good idea, and comfortable shoes are a must since you'll be walking a lot. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat if you're starting earlier in the day!

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this experience?

A: No age restrictions for this tour, but it’s more engaging for older kids and adults since the stories dive into Hawaiian history and culture. Younger children might get restless during the walk.

Q: Is it easy to park near the starting location?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky in Honolulu, especially during busy times. There are some paid lots nearby, but I recommend arriving early to find street parking or use a rideshare service to avoid the hassle.

Just did the 'Island of the Gods' tour, it was amazing!

I went on the 'Island of the Gods: Stories of Wao Kanaka' tour last week in Oahu and wow, it was eye-opening! The guide was super knowledgeable and shared some really captivating stories about the Hawaiian kings and queens. We got to see some awesome historic sites, including the royal palace. I found it so interesting to learn about the warriors and their legacies! Highly recommend this for anyone who loves history or wants to really connect with Hawaiian culture.

Thinking about gifting this experience!

I was browsing experiences to gift my parents and came across 'Island of the Gods.' They love history and Hawaii, so it seems perfect! Just trying to figure out if they’d enjoy the walking part or if it's too much for them. Has anyone done it with older folks?
