Q&A

Q: Is this hike suitable for kids? My niece loves nature but she's only 7.

A: Absolutely! This hike is quite family-friendly, and kids usually love exploring the desert. Just keep in mind that it's around 2 miles round trip, so make sure she's up for a little adventure. The guide is great with kids and can make it super engaging for them!

Q: What's the weather like in Joshua Tree this time of year? Should I worry about cancellations?

A: September can still be pretty warm, but recent rains have made things cooler and more beautiful. They rarely cancel due to weather, but if there's a serious event, they’ll let you know ahead of time. Just check the forecast before your trip!

Q: What should we wear for this hike? Any specific gear or shoes needed?

A: Good question! Definitely wear sturdy shoes suitable for uneven terrain—hiking boots are ideal. Dress in lightweight, breathable clothes and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. It can get sunny out there! Also, bring plenty of water.

Thinking about gifting the Joshua Tree Natural Wonders Walk - has anyone done it?

I’m considering this experience for my dad’s birthday. He loves the desert and hiking! The description says the guide is a certified California Naturalist, which sounds awesome. How long does the whole thing take? Is it easy enough for someone who’s not super fit? Any tips?

Just got back from the Joshua Tree Natural Wonders Walk - so worth it!

OMG, I had the best time! The desert is stunning right now with all the recent rains. Our guide was amazing and pointed out so many cool plants and rocks. The hike is a perfect distance—challenging enough to feel accomplished but not exhausting. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves nature!
