Q&A
A: Yes, there is a weight limit for the Segway tours, and it's typically around 250 lbs. This is due to safety reasons and the Segway's capacity. If you have concerns, it's best to check directly with iRIDE ALASKA before booking. They’re really helpful and can provide all the info you need!
A: Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. The Segway is easy to ride, but you’ll want to be able to move freely. Also, dress in layers since the weather can change quickly in Juneau. And don't forget sunscreen and a hat if it's sunny!
A: Kids aged 10 and older can join the tour, but they need to be at least 100 lbs to ride the Segway safely. It’s a great family activity, but make sure your kids are comfortable with the idea of riding something new. Parent supervision is required for younger ones!

Just did the Segway Wilderness Tour in Juneau – Amazing!
I just got back from the Juneau Alpine Segway Wilderness Trail Adventure, and wow! The views were absolutely stunning, especially at Fish Creek. Riding through the Sitka Spruce forests was such a unique experience. Our guide was super knowledgeable, and we even got to snack on some local treats halfway through! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Juneau. It’s perfect for both newbies and seasoned Segway riders!
Thinking of gifting the Segway tour – any tips?
I’m considering getting the Juneau Alpine Segway Wilderness Trail Adventure for my parents as a gift. They love exploring, but they’ve never been on a Segway before. Do you think it would be a good idea? What’s the best time of year to go?
