Come along on a guided journey through Historic Downtown Juneau on a bus, led by our knowledgeable guides. Explore downtown highlights and discover the origins of Juneau. Next, we'll cross Juneau's sole bridge to Douglas Island. Pause at Homestead Park for a scenic vista over the Gastineau Channel. Take in the waterfront platform, perfect for capturing the Capital city at the base of Mt Juneau with your cruise ship in the foreground. We'll visit "Takhu," Juneau's impressive 40-foot sculpture of a breaching whale. Though it's a bronze statue, in your photos, it appears vibrant and lifelike, perfect for sharing with loved ones and sparking captivating tales of how close you came to a whale. Then, enjoy a scenic drive to Brotherhood Park, honoring the Native Brotherhood of Alaska. Marvel at the distant view of the Mendenhall Glacier (weather permitting) and the stunning scenery. This experience promises fun, education, and affordability for the whole family. Includes 3 stops.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this Juneau City Tour?

A: There’s no specific age limit for kids on the tour! It’s super family-friendly, and many families bring children along. Just keep in mind that some stops might be more interesting for older kids. If you have little ones, they might enjoy the whale sculpture for some fun photos!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad during the Juneau City Tour?

A: Great question! The tour is pretty flexible. If the weather's awful, they usually provide alternative stops or focus more on indoor sites. Plus, the guides know the area well and can adjust the itinerary so you still get to enjoy the experience as best as possible.

Q: How long is the tour, and is parking easy to find?

A: The tour usually lasts about 2-3 hours, depending on how long you stop at each site. As for parking, it can be a bit tricky in downtown Juneau, especially during the busy summer months. I’d recommend getting there early or checking if your hotel offers shuttle services to the tour start point.

Just did the Juneau City Tour and I'm raving about it!

I went on the Juneau City Tour last week, and it was such a fantastic experience! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the history of Juneau come alive. The best part was definitely the stop at the whale sculpture, 'Takhu'—I got some amazing pictures there! The views from Brotherhood Park were also stunning, even though we didn’t get to see Mendenhall Glacier because of the clouds. Totally recommending this for anyone visiting Juneau!

Thinking about gifting the Juneau City Tour to my parents!

I'm considering getting the Juneau City Tour for my parents’ anniversary. They love exploring new places, and I think this would be perfect since they're visiting Juneau soon. Is the tour really as good as it sounds? Any tips on the best times to send them?
