Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the helicopter and dog sledding experience? Is it cold up there?

A: Definitely dress in layers! Even in the summer, it can get chilly up on the glacier. I'd recommend wearing a good thermal base layer, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy boots. They also provide some gear, but it's better to be prepared since you'll be out in the elements for a while.

Q: Are there any age limits for the dog sledding part? I'm thinking of gifting this to my kids.

A: Great question! Kids can participate as long as they are at least 2 years old for the dog sledding. However, keep in mind that the helicopter ride has some weight restrictions per person. It’s definitely a fun experience for families!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Coastal Helicopters is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather conditions. If it’s too foggy or rainy, they’ll work with you to find another day that works. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when you book.

Sooo excited for the Juneau helicopter and dog sledding experience!

Just booked the helicopter and dog sledding combo for my trip to Juneau next month! I can’t wait to see the glacier up close and meet the dogs. I’ve heard the views from the helicopter are unreal. Has anyone done this recently? Any tips on what to expect?

Thinking about gifting the Juneau helicopter and dog sledding tour

I'm considering this experience for my partner's birthday! He loves adventure and winter sports. The combo sounds perfect. Has anyone experienced this? How’s the dogsledding part? Is it as cool as it sounds?
