Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for the Juneteenth tour, but I’d suggest it’s probably best for kids 10 and up. The guide shares a lot of historical info that might be more engaging for older kids. Just make sure they’re okay with being in a van for a bit, since it varies in duration!
A: The tour is great in spring or fall, for sure. The weather is usually mild then, making it comfortable for sitting in the van and walking around. Just keep an eye on hurricane season (June-November) since that could impact scheduling!
A: Yes! The tours are pretty flexible with rescheduling. Just make sure to give them a call or email at least 24 hours in advance. They’ll work with you to find another time that fits your schedule.

Thinking of gifting the Juneteenth tour - any thoughts?
Hey everyone! I’m considering giving the Juneteenth and Beyond tour as a gift for my parents. They love history and are really interested in African American culture. I just want to make sure it’s as good as it sounds! Has anyone been on it? What was the highlight for you? Also, how’s the parking situation in Galveston?
Just did the Juneteenth tour - so worth it!
I just got back from the Juneteenth and Beyond tour, and wow, it was amazing! Dr. Sorrell is so knowledgeable and passionate. The stories about Galveston’s history are really eye-opening. The van was comfortable, and it felt great to learn in such a personal way. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in history!
