Q&A
A: The hills can be pretty steep, especially when you go up and down by Union Station and the Liberty Memorial. If you're not used to hiking, it could be a challenge. Make sure to wear good shoes and take breaks if you need to. It's definitely doable, just be prepared for some serious elevation changes!
A: Yes, the hike can be done in winter, but snow and ice can make the trails slippery. It's best to check the weather leading up to your tour, as they might cancel for safety reasons. Wear warm layers and sturdy shoes with good grip. If it’s too icy, they’ll likely reschedule.
A: This hike is better suited for older kids and adults since it can be physically challenging. Younger kids might struggle with the steep parts. If you think your kids can handle it and enjoy a bit of adventure, go for it! Just make sure they’re ready for the hills and to walk about 5 miles.

Thinking about gifting the Urban Hike in KC – what do you think?
So, I've been considering this Kansas City Crossroads Urban Hike for my friend's birthday. It's a 5-mile trek that starts at Liberty Memorial, which sounds super cool! I love the idea of stopping for local fruit juice too. Just a bit worried about the steep hills and whether my friend will enjoy that. Has anyone done this?
Just finished the Urban Hike in KC! Wow!
I just got back from the Kansas City Crossroads Art District hike and I can’t recommend it enough! The views from the memorial were breathtaking and the alley art was so vibrant. It's not an easy hike, but the stop for fruit juice was the cherry on top. You’ll definitely need good shoes and water. Planning to take my family next time!
