A: Kids can definitely rent surfboards, but Tamba Surf Company recommends that children under 12 have an adult with them. They even have smaller boards for younger surfers, which is super helpful! It’s a great way to introduce them to surfing in a safe way. Just check with the staff when you get there to find the best fit for your kiddo.

A: Parking at Tamba Surf Company is usually pretty easy! There’s a small lot right outside the shop, and they also have some street parking in the area. Just keep in mind that it can get crowded on weekends, so try to go early if you can. Otherwise, you might have to circle around a bit.

I’m planning a trip to Kaua’i and considering gifting surfboard rentals from Tamba Surf Company. I’ve read they have really cool boards and great staff who know the local surf scene. I’m a bit nervous since it’s my first time surfing! Is this a good gift idea for someone who's never surfed before? Any tips?

Just rented boards from Tamba and had an awesome time!

I just got back from renting surfboards at Tamba Surf Company, and wow, what an experience! The staff were so chill and gave us tips on the best surf spots for our level. We even got some cool rack pads for our car. If you’re thinking about it, do it! Just be sure to check the swell forecast before heading out.
