Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the helicopter ride?

A: Yes, kids need to be at least 2 years old to fly. They do require a parent or guardian to be with them, and the weight limit per passenger is 300 lbs. Just make sure everyone is old enough to enjoy the thrill!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the flight?

A: If the weather's not cooperating, they usually offer to reschedule you for another day, or even a refund if that's not possible. Safety is a big priority for them. Just check their cancellation policy!

Q: What should I wear for the helicopter ride? Is it cold up there?

A: Layers are key! It can get chilly when you're flying high. A light jacket or sweatshirt is great. Also, wear closed-toe shoes because you’ll be climbing in and out of the helicopter. Avoid anything too flappy that could fly away!

Just booked the Hughes 500 helicopter ride in Kauai! So excited!

Hey everyone! I just snagged tickets for the Doors-Off Helicopter ride with Airborne Aviation for next month! It’s in Kauai and I can’t wait to see the Na Pali Coast from above. It’s a bit pricey (around $200 per person), but I heard the views are totally worth it. Anyone here done this before? Any tips or must-see spots while we're flying?

Thoughts on gifting the helicopter experience?

I’m thinking of getting this helicopter ride as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He loves heights and adventure, but I’m worried he might be scared up there. Anyone have experience gifting this? How did the recipient feel about it? Should I go for it?
