Q&A

Q: Are kids allowed at the luau, and do they serve kid-friendly food?

A: Absolutely! Kids are welcome at Luau Ka Hikina, and they serve a variety of kid-friendly food options. From chicken nuggets to fresh fruit, there’s something for everyone. Plus, they really enjoy the live hula shows! It’s a great family night out in Kauai.

Q: What should we wear to the luau? Is it casual or more formal?

A: The vibe at Luau Ka Hikina is pretty casual, so feel free to wear comfortable clothes. Aloha shirts and sundresses work great! Just keep in mind it might get cooler when the sun sets, so maybe bring a light jacket. Enjoy the feast and show!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they cancel the luau?

A: If it rains, they typically have a backup plan to move the luau indoors, so you won’t miss out on the festivities. I went during a light drizzle, and it was still a blast! Just check the weather and confirm with them ahead of time.

Can't wait for my first luau experience!

I'm planning to take my family to the Luau Ka Hikina next month. We've heard amazing things about the buffet and the hula performances! I’m a little nervous about how my kids will react to the whole experience. Any tips for making it more fun for them? Also, is the lei greeting something everyone receives?

Just got back from Luau Ka Hikina, and WOW!

We went to the luau last week, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was amazing—definitely try the kalua pork. The atmosphere right by the ocean is just magical. The hula performances were stunning. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Kauai; it made our trip special!
