Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids at the Luau Kalamaku?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but the experience is great for kids 5 and up. They usually offer a kids’ menu as well! Just keep in mind that younger kids might not sit still for the whole show, but there are fun activities like hula lessons to keep them entertained.

Q: How do I reschedule if something comes up?

A: It's pretty easy! You can call their customer service or email them. Just make sure to do it at least 48 hours ahead of your booked date. They’re pretty flexible, but the earlier, the better to secure a new spot!

Q: What should I wear for the Luau Kalamaku?

A: Definitely go for something casual and comfortable! Aloha shirts or sundresses are perfect. Keep in mind it can get a bit cool in the evening, so bringing a light jacket wouldn’t hurt. Flip-flops are totally fine, but you might wanna avoid heels since it's outdoors.

Just got back from Luau Kalamaku and WOW!

Had the best time at Luau Kalamaku last week! The buffet had so many options, I had the kalua pig and it was amazing. The show was super entertaining, especially the fire dance at the end - I couldn’t believe the talent! Highly recommend if you’re trying to find a gift for someone who loves culture and good food.

Looking for gift ideas - is Luau Kalamaku worth it?

I’m thinking of getting my parents tickets to Luau Kalamaku for their anniversary. They love Hawaii and I think this would be perfect! But is it really worth the money? How’s the food and show?
