Q&A
A: The best time to do this is typically from late spring to early fall, when the weather is warmer and there's less rain. However, keep in mind that Kauai can be rainy year-round, so it's always good to check the weather forecast before heading out. If it rains too much, they may cancel the tour for safety, but the guides will reach out to you if anything changes.
A: It's definitely doable for kids who are a bit adventurous! They recommend at least 8 years old, as the hike can be a bit challenging with stream crossings and uneven terrain. If your kids are active and love the outdoors, they’ll probably have a blast! Just be sure to bring snacks and keep a close eye on them during the kayaking part.
A: Yes! They’re pretty flexible with rescheduling due to bad weather. If they have to cancel, they’ll reach out with options for a different date. Just keep in mind that some times of the year are busier than others, so it's good to book in advance to get your preferred dates!

Thinking about gifting the Secret Falls kayak and hike experience!
I’m planning to give this experience to my brother for his birthday! The kayak tour through the Wailua River sounds so cool, and the hike to Uluwehi Falls looks stunning. I just hope the weather holds up when we go in September. Anyone else done this? What should we expect?
Anyone else love the Secret Falls experience?
Just got back from the Secret Falls kayak tour and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in Kauai! The guides were super friendly and the scenery was unreal. Took about 4 hours total, but the waterfall was totally worth the trek. Anyone have tips for what to wear next time?
