The boats and gear will be ready and in the water for you when you arrive to the lake! which means all you need to do is apply some sunscreen and put on a life vest before heading out onto the water.

Q: What should I wear for the kayak fishing tour? Is it hot in Asheville this time of year?

A: Great question! I went in late summer and it was super warm. Definitely wear lightweight, quick-drying clothes and don't forget your swimsuit! Also, bring a hat and sunglasses to protect against the sun. The guides supply life vests, so just make sure you're comfortable in what you're wearing.

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather's bad? Planning to buy this for my boyfriend's birthday.

A: Yes, they’re really flexible with rescheduling. If there's bad weather, just call them as soon as you can, and they’ll help you find another date. I had to reschedule once due to rain and they were super understanding about it!

Q: Is there an age limit for the kayak fishing tours? Can kids join?

A: Kids can definitely join! As long as they’re at least 5 years old, they can paddle along. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need some extra help, especially with the fishing gear. It’s a great family-friendly experience!

I just got back from the kayak fishing tour with Asheville Kayak Tours and WOW, it was fantastic! We went to this secret fishing spot by a waterfall, and the guides were super chill and helpful.
