I founded and own HONEST ECO. With Kentucky bluegrass roots and a B.S. in Biology, I found a world with a blue sea too alluring to ignore. I arrived to Key West in 2005. Now I have 10+ years of experience studying Biology and being on the water in Key West. I now own a small business with my wife and 2 young kids. We are trying to make a big impact by educating and leading by example. I'm very passionate about being respectful to the wildlife and the environment

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this kayak and snorkel trip?

A: Kids as young as 6 can join on this trip! Just keep in mind that they need to be able to comfortably fit in the tandem kayak with an adult. The guides are great with families and are super patient, making it really fun for the kiddos.

Q: What should I wear for the morning sail and snorkel part?

A: Wear a swimsuit under your clothes since you’ll likely get wet while snorkeling! Light layers are good, and don't forget reef-safe sunscreen. Honestly, they provide wetsuits in winter, but you might not need it otherwise unless it’s chilly. Just make sure to wear something you don’t mind getting wet.

Q: If the weather's bad, do they cancel or reschedule?

A: They’ll definitely prioritize safety, so if the weather doesn't cooperate, they’ll either cancel or reschedule for you. They usually let you know the day before if there's an issue. Just make sure to keep an eye on your email!
