Q: Are there any age limits for the kayak or paddleboard rental?

A: Yes, there are some age restrictions. Kids 12 and under need to be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak. For paddleboarding, kids know how to balance can go solo, but the staff there can give you tips if you're unsure. It's definitely a family-friendly spot, so don’t worry too much!

Q: What should we wear for paddleboarding? Is it okay to get wet?

A: Definitely wear something you don’t mind getting wet! A swimsuit or quick-dry clothing works best. They recommend water shoes or sandals with straps since flip-flops can easily slip off. And don’t forget sunscreen! You’ll be out in the sun a lot.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our rental?

A: Yes! If the weather looks sketchy, you can easily reschedule your rental. Just give them a call, and they’re super flexible about switching dates. It’s best to check the weather forecast beforehand, but they do keep an eye on it, too.

Just did paddleboarding at West Beach, and it was awesome!

Took the plunge and rented a paddleboard from Cal Coast Adventures last weekend. The staff was super friendly and helped me pick the right board. The views of Santa Barbara were stunning from the water! I went early in the morning, and it was so peaceful. I think this could be a great gift for my sister who loves the ocean. Anyone else done this?
