Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the kayaks? Asking for a friend who's a bit on the heavier side.

A: Yes, the kayaks have a weight limit of about 400 lbs for both individuals combined. So if your friend is a bit heavier, just make sure the total weight stays within that limit! Otherwise, you're good to go! Just remember to check the weather too, it can get windy out there sometimes.

Q: What should we wear? Like, is it okay to go in regular clothes or do we need swimsuits?

A: You can wear whatever you’re comfortable in! A swimsuit or quick-dry clothes is great, but some people just wear gym shorts and a t-shirt. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses, though. It can get pretty sunny out there on the water!

Q: What if the weather's bad? Can we reschedule or get a refund?

A: If the weather looks too rough, they’ll either reschedule for you or give you a credit for future use. They’re pretty flexible, but I’d recommend calling them directly just to confirm their policies before booking.

Thinking of gifting a kayaking experience in La Jolla—any tips?

I’m considering the kayak rental for two in La Jolla for my sister and her husband for their anniversary. I’ve heard Everyday California is the best in the area. Can anyone tell me if it’s as fun as it sounds? Also, any tips on parking around there?

Can anyone share their kayak rental experience in La Jolla? Worth it?

I’m looking at getting this kayak rental for my parents. They’re both active and love the water. Just wondering if it’s really enjoyable, especially for beginners? How was the experience overall?
