Q&A
A: It's best to book at least a week in advance for Saturday mornings, especially during the summer. The spot can get busy with families wanting to enjoy the beach. If you’re flexible, weekdays are usually quieter and easier to book last minute.
A: Kids under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult in the kayak. There’s no strict age limit, but the kiddos should be comfortable in the water and wearing a life vest. Just make sure they can paddle along safely!
A: The best time is definitely late spring to early fall when the weather’s warm and the ocean's calmer. Winter can get chilly, and the waves might be rougher. Just dress in layers if you decide to go in the colder months and be ready for some wind!

Thinking of gifting a kayak rental for my sister's birthday!
I’m considering getting a kayak rental at Redondo Beach for my sister’s birthday. She loves the ocean and has never kayaked before! I heard Pedal Port is great. Does anyone know if it’s easy for beginners? Also, how’s the wildlife experience? She’d freak out over sea lions!
Just went kayaking in Redondo Beach and it was amazing!
I took my kids kayaking with Pedal Port last weekend. The experience was unforgettable! The staff was super helpful and made us feel safe. We saw sea lions, dolphins, and the view of the coast was stunning. Totally recommend if you’re looking for a family outing or gift idea!
