Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 8 years old for the kayaking and surfing to ensure safety and enjoyment. If you have younger ones, they might be able to paddle with an adult in a tandem kayak. Just check with South Pacific Kayaks beforehand if you’re thinking of bringing kids.
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit, because you’ll be getting wet! A rash guard is provided, which is great for sun protection while surfing. Water shoes or sandals with straps are also recommended because they’ll help on the rocky parts. Just remember to bring a change of clothes for after, since you might be sandy and salty!
A: South Pacific Kayaks usually checks the weather conditions the day before and will contact you if they need to reschedule. If it's unsafe to go out due to high winds or rain, they will work with you to find a new date. It’s always good to have some flexibility in your schedule just in case!

Just did the Kayak and Surf Package - Amazing day!
I just got back from doing the Kayak, Snorkel and Surf package with South Pacific Kayaks in Maui and OMG, it was incredible! We saw so many turtles while snorkeling, and kayaking was super chill and relaxing. Then we headed to Kalama Park for surfing lessons. I was a bit nervous, but the instructors were super helpful! I ended up catching a few waves! Highly recommend this if you're visiting Maui, it was around $200 for the full package, totally worth it!
Gift ideas for friends - considering the Kayak and Surf Package!
I’m thinking of getting this Kayak, Snorkel and Surf package for my friends' wedding gift. They love the ocean and adventure! Has anyone done this? I want to make sure it’s fun and worth the price. Also, how do you think they’d feel about snorkeling? Any personal stories would help!
