Decompress, engage, and rejuvenate on the water near Zion National Park and St. George, Utah. Beginner-friendly, we launch from our section of beach at Quail Creek State Park. We'll paddle kayaks or stand up paddleboards to see cliffs, limestone shale beaches, and known locations for wildlife viewing. Our creek channel is a great nature walk or paddle. We may see beaver, sunbathing turtles, great blue heron, eagle, and perhaps even owl. While we paddle, we'll share information about the geology of the area. You'll learn something of the ancient peoples and more modern settlers of the region. We may even have time to see some petroglyphs near our shop. When finished, stay and eat from our Dig In Grille.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the kayak/SUP tour?

A: Yes, kids can join as long as they are at least 5 years old. They’ll need to wear a life vest, which is included. It's super beginner-friendly, so it’s great for families! Just make sure they’re comfortable on the water.

Q: What should I wear and bring for the kayak/SUP tour?

A: Wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet, like a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes. Flip-flops are fine, but water shoes are better. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat! They provide all the gear, but you’ll want to stay hydrated, so bring a water bottle.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather’s looking sketchy, they’ll usually contact you to discuss rescheduling options. Safety is their priority. Just keep an eye on the forecast! I had to reschedule once because of rain, and it was super easy.

Just did the kayak/SUP tour near Zion and it was AMAZING!

I went on the kayak tour last weekend at Quail Creek State Park and I'm still buzzing from the experience! The scenery was gorgeous, especially those towering cliffs. We saw turtles sunbathing and even a heron! The guides were super knowledgeable and shared cool stories about the area. Definitely a must-do if you're in St. George. Oh, and the food at Dig In Grille afterward was a nice bonus!

Thinking of gifting the kayak/SUP tour for my partner's birthday!

I've been looking for unique gift ideas and stumbled upon this kayak/SUP tour near Zion. It sounds like such a wonderful experience with wildlife and scenery. Has anyone done it recently? What's the vibe like? Would it be good for someone who's never kayaked before?
