Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this snorkel and sail adventure?

A: Kids of all ages are welcome on the Kealakekua Bay adventure! However, children under 8 should have a parent or guardian with them in the water for safety. It’s a super family-friendly experience, and the crew is great with kids. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water!

Q: What should we wear for the snorkeling part of this trip?

A: You’ll want to wear a swimsuit for sure! A rash guard is a great idea for sun protection since you’ll be out on the water for a while. Flip-flops or water shoes are recommended for getting on and off the boat too. Sunscreen is a must, but make sure it's reef-safe!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our trip?

A: If the weather looks unsafe, the crew will reach out to reschedule or cancel. They prioritize safety above all! You can usually reschedule for another day without any hassle. Just keep an eye on your email before the trip for updates.

Just got back from the Kealakekua Bay Snorkel Adventure - What a trip!

So we just did the Kealakekua Bay snorkel and sail adventure on the Kona Style catamaran, and it was AMAZING! The breakfast spread was delicious with fresh pastries and Kona coffee. Snorkeling was super easy with the grand staircase they have. Saw tons of colorful fish and even a sea turtle! Highly recommend this for anyone visiting the Big Island.

Thinking of gifting this adventure, any thoughts?

I'm considering getting my parents the Kealakekua Bay snorkel and sail experience for their anniversary. They love the ocean but haven't snorkeled before. Is it beginner-friendly? Any tips on whether they'd enjoy it? Thanks!
