Q&A
A: Kids as young as 5 can join the tour, but it really depends on their swimming skills. The crew is great at accommodating families. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water! Also, keep in mind that a parent or guardian has to be with them at all times.
A: Absolutely! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the crew will contact you to reschedule. They really prioritize safety and want everyone to have the best experience. Just make sure to check your email or messages the day before the trip.
A: Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel, sunscreen, and maybe a light cover-up. The boat has a grill for lunch, so that’s covered! They'll provide snorkel gear, but don’t forget a waterproof bag for your stuff, just in case. It can get chilly on the ocean, so a light jacket might be good too.

Just did the Kealakekua Bay Snorkel & Dolphin Safari - amazing experience!
I just got back from the Kealakekua Bay Snorkel & Dolphin Safari, and wow, what a trip! We saw dolphins right next to the boat, and the snorkeling was incredible! The water was so clear, and the crew was super friendly. Plus, the BBQ lunch they made on board hit the spot. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Kona! I can't wait to go again!
Thinking about gifting the dolphin safari experience - any advice?
I’m looking to buy this snorkeling and dolphin safari as a gift for my partner. I’ve heard great things, but I wonder if it's also good for someone who's not a strong swimmer? Are they accommodating for that? Any tips would be appreciated!
