Q&A
A: There’s no official age limit, but kids love this cruise! Just keep in mind that younger ones might need extra supervision, especially if they're restless. The crew is very friendly and accommodating, so they can help keep the little ones engaged. Plus, it’s all about the wildlife, and kids usually get super excited seeing whales and otters!
A: If the weather is really bad, they might cancel the cruise for safety reasons. You can usually reschedule for another day, or they might offer a refund. Just check their policy when you book! I’ve heard they often give you plenty of notice if there’s a potential cancellation.
A: Definitely wear layers! It can get chilly out on the water, so a warm jacket is a must. I’d recommend bringing a waterproof layer too, just in case, and comfy shoes since you’ll be moving around a bit on the boat. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also a good idea because the glare from the water can be strong.

Just got back from the Kenai Fjords cruise and WOW!
I went on the Kenai Fjords and Resurrection Bay Half-Day Wildlife Cruise last week, and it was epic! We saw a humpback whale breach just a few feet from the boat. The captain was so knowledgeable and made it super fun. Bring a camera for the puffins and sea lions – they were adorable! I really recommend this experience if you’re in Seward; well worth the price. Plus, the coffee and tea on board were a nice touch!
Thinking of gifting the Kenai Fjords cruise – anyone tried it?
I'm looking at getting this wildlife cruise for my parents' anniversary. They love nature, and the idea of seeing whales sounds incredible! Just worried about whether they’ll enjoy the boat ride. They’re in their 60s and not super adventurous. Is it pretty smooth sailing, or can it get bumpy? Anyone had experience with older folks on this?
