This 6-hour cruise explores Kenai Fjords National Park and visits an actively calving tidewater glacier in beautiful Aialik Bay. Our experienced captains will narrate your cruise and point out wildlife such as whales, sea otters, sea lions, puffins, and more. Stop at the mighty Holgate or Aialik Glacier and float among the icebergs as you watch for calving, where giant chunks of ice break off and crash into the ocean. Onboard captain narration and complimentary deli lunch included.

Q&A

Q: Can we reschedule the cruise if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, if the weather doesn't cooperate, you can reschedule your cruise. Just make sure to call Major Marine Tours directly. They’re pretty flexible and will work with you to find a new time. Just keep your eyes on the forecast!

Q: What should I wear for the cruise? Is it cold on the water?

A: Definitely layer up! It can get chilly out on Aialik Bay, even in summer. I’d suggest bringing a windbreaker, warm socks, and maybe a hat if you're sensitive to the cold. Don’t forget sunglasses too, because the glare off the water is real!

Q: Is this cruise suitable for young kids? What age is good for this?

A: Absolutely! Kids usually love it, especially spotting wildlife. There's no strict age limit, but I'd say ideal for ages 5 and up. Just make sure they can handle a long boat ride. If they get seasick, maybe bring some ginger snacks or something!

Just did the Kenai Fjords cruise and wow!

I took the Kenai Fjords Glacier & Wildlife Cruise last week and it was unreal! The Aialik Glacier was massive, and we saw sea otters floating around. The captain knew so much and pointed out whales, too! Lunch was solid for a cruise, and we had reserved seating in the heated cabin, which was a lifesaver when the wind picked up. Definitely worth the $$!

Thinking of gifting the glacier cruise!

My parents are coming to visit Alaska and I’m considering getting them the Kenai Fjords cruise. They love wildlife and nature, but I'm a bit worried they might not handle 6 hours on a boat. Anyone have advice if it’s manageable for older folks? Also, how’s the accessibility on the boat?
