Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do the Kenai Fjords tour? I want to see whales!

A: The best time for whale watching on the Kenai Fjords tour is typically from mid-May to early September. During these months, you’ll have a high chance of spotting humpback whales and even orcas! Just keep in mind that July is usually the peak month for sightings, but the weather can be more unpredictable then.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this cruise? My niece is 8.

A: There’s no specific age limit for the Kenai Fjords tour, and kids are definitely welcome! However, it’s a good idea to check the cruise operator’s policy for any restrictions, especially for younger kids. I took my 7-year-old and she had a blast!

Q: How's the parking situation in Seward for the tour? Should I get there early?

A: Parking in Seward can be tricky, especially during peak season. I’d recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to find a good spot. There are a few lots near the dock, but they fill up fast. Also, make sure to check any parking fees as they can vary.

Just got back from the Kenai Fjords tour and wow!

I recently did the Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier & Wildlife Tour and it was AMAZING. We saw a ton of wildlife including sea lions and puffins, plus the glaciers were stunning. The boat was super comfortable and the lunch was better than I expected! Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a unique gift or adventure.

Considering gifting the Kenai Fjords tour for my parents!

My parents love nature and wildlife, and I think this tour would be perfect for their anniversary. I'm a bit worried about seasickness though. Any tips on that? Also, is it worth the price? I wanna make sure it’s a good experience for them.
