Q&A
A: Definitely wear something comfortable and don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen! The airboat ride can get a bit splashy, so shorts and quick-dry fabrics are a good idea. I wore a light jacket in case it got breezy, but it was mostly warm. Just be prepared for a little water spray!
A: The whole experience is about 8-10 hours, including travel time. You start at the Kennedy Space Center and spend a few hours there, then head to the airboat ride. It’s totally doable in one day! Just plan for some snacks in the car since you’ll be out for a while.
A: Great question! Kids of all ages can enjoy the airboat ride, but they do need to be at least 3 years old to ride. It’s super fun and kids love seeing all the wildlife! Just make sure to keep an eye on them since it can get a bit noisy.

Just got back from the Space Center and Airboat Ride!
I just did the Kennedy Space Center with the airboat ride last weekend, and wow, what an adventure! The Space Center was amazing - got to meet an astronaut and see the Atlantis shuttle up close. The airboat ride was the icing on the cake! We saw so many alligators and beautiful scenery on the St. Johns River. Totally recommend this combo if you’re in Orlando. Price is unbeatable too!
Thinking of gifting this experience!
I’m looking at giving this Kennedy Space Center/Airboat ride combo as a gift for my parents’ anniversary! They love space and nature, so this seems perfect. Just worried about how the day will go and if there’s enough time to enjoy both parts. Anyone tried it for a special occasion? What did you think?
