Q&A
A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable, moisture-wicking clothing since you’ll be biking and hiking. Don't forget layers—Ketchikan weather can be unpredictable! Good hiking shoes are a must, and they provide rain gear so you’ll be covered if it rains. Also, bring a hat or sunglasses for the beach part!
A: Yes, kids can join! They usually have a minimum age requirement of around 12 years for riding the e-bikes, but younger kids can hike along with an adult. Just check with the tour provider before booking to be sure they allow younger kids on the hike.
A: They’ll still go if it rains since they provide excellent rain gear. However, if the weather is really bad, they might reschedule or cancel for safety reasons. It's best to call the company a day or two before to check the forecast and confirm.

Just did the Ketchikan Electric Bike and Rain Forest Hike—amazing experience!
I went on this tour last week and wow, it was such a blast! Riding the e-bikes along the 'road to nowhere' was so chill, and the hike through the Tongass Forest was beautiful. We saw a few salmon in the stream, and the waterfall was stunning! The smoked salmon snacks afterward were delicious too. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Ketchikan!
Thinking of gifting the Ketchikan Ecotour—any tips?
I'm planning to gift this tour to my parents since they love nature! They’re not super active though, so I’m wondering if it’s too much for them. How hard is the hike? Are the e-bikes easy to manage?
