Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the fishing charter?

A: There isn’t a strict age limit, but kids should be at least 8 years old to really enjoy it. They’ll have to follow safety rules, which are pretty important out on the water. It's a good idea to check with the charter before booking if you have younger ones, just to be safe!

Q: What should we wear for the charter? Any tips?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get cold out there on the water even in summer. The heavy-duty raincoats are provided, but wear something warm underneath. And don't forget water-resistant shoes; you'll want to be comfy and dry. Sunglasses are a must too!

Q: What if we need to reschedule our fishing trip due to weather?

A: Reel Alaska Fishing Charters is pretty flexible with rescheduling if the weather is bad. They usually notify you the day before if conditions aren’t looking good. Just keep an eye on your email or give them a call for updates. They want everyone to have a great experience!

Just did the Ketchikan Fishing Charter - It was epic!

Hey everyone! I just got back from the Ketchikan Fishing Charter and wow, it was unforgettable! We fished for salmon and halibut for about 7 hours and caught some huge ones! The crew was super friendly and provided all the gear, which was nice. We even got sodas and snacks. If you're considering this as a gift, it’s totally worth it! Can't wait to go back!

Thinking of gifting the fishing charter! Need advice!

I’m thinking of giving the Ketchikan Fishing Charter as a gift for my dad’s birthday. He loves fishing but is a bit older. Is this a good choice, or should I look for something less active? How’s the experience overall?
