Q&A
A: The summer months, especially June through September, are ideal for the Ketchikan fishing charter. This is when halibut and salmon are most abundant. Plus, the weather is generally milder, making for a more enjoyable experience on the water. Remember, you can also combine fishing with some amazing sightseeing during this time!
A: There’s no strict age limit, but it's recommended for kids 8 and older. They’ll have a better time and be more engaged in the fishing. Just keep in mind, being on a boat can be a bit rough for younger ones, so it’s good to gauge your child’s comfort with that.
A: No need to worry about licenses! The charter includes everything you need, including gear and licenses. Just show up, and they’ll handle the rest. It's nice to not have to deal with any red tape when you’re trying to enjoy your fishing trip.

Thinking of gifting the Ketchikan fishing charter - any advice?
I’m considering getting the Ketchikan private fishing charter for my dad’s birthday. He loves fishing but hasn’t done it in Alaska yet. I know they offer a mix of fishing and dining experiences too, which is awesome! Would this be suitable for someone who’s a casual angler? Also, what’s the likelihood of catching something? Any tips would be appreciated!
Just got back from the fishing charter - here’s my review!
Wow, I just got back from the Ketchikan fishing charter and it was incredible! We caught a ton of salmon, the crew was super knowledgeable, and we even got to see some sea lions. The fresh catch dinner at the restaurant was the perfect ending. Totally worth every penny! I’d recommend it to anyone into fishing or just wanting a unique experience in Alaska.
