Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the salmon fishing adventure? I’m worried about being too cold or wet!

A: Great question! It can get chilly out on the water, so definitely dress in layers. A waterproof jacket is a must, and don’t forget to wear sturdy shoes that can get wet. Also, bring a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun reflecting off the water!

Q: Are kids allowed on this fishing adventure? What’s the age limit?

A: Yes, kids are welcome on the fishing adventure! There's no strict age limit, but it’s best suited for ages 6 and up since they need to be able to hold the rod and listen to the instructions. Just let the captain know in advance if you're bringing younger kids so they can prepare!

Q: How accessible is this from the cruise ship docks? Is parking easy?

A: The pickup is super easy! The captain meets you right at the cruise ship docks in downtown Ketchikan, so no need to worry about parking or logistics. Just look for the sign with the company's name when you disembark!

Considering the Ketchikan salmon fishing experience for a gift—thoughts?

I’m looking at this salmon fishing experience as a gift for my dad's birthday. He loves fishing but has never been to Alaska. I’d love to get some feedback from people who’ve done it. How’s the fishing? Is it good for beginners too?
