Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the kayaking trip? Is it cold out there?

A: Definitely layer up! The water can be chilly, so I'd recommend a waterproof jacket and some warm layers underneath. Bring quick-dry clothes in case you get splashed. Also, don’t forget a hat and sunglasses for sun protection! If you’re prone to getting cold, consider some thermal wear too.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the kayaking tour?

A: Kids as young as 8 can join the tour, but they need to be accompanied by an adult. It’s a great family-friendly activity! Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water and adventurous enough for kayaking.

Q: Can you reschedule if the weather is bad? What’s the policy?

A: Yes, they’re pretty flexible when it comes to rescheduling due to bad weather. Just make sure to call them as soon as you know you need to change plans. They'll work with you to find another date that fits!

Thinking of gifting the Eagle Island Sea Kayaking experience!

My sister’s birthday is coming up, and I’m considering this kayaking tour in Ketchikan. It sounds amazing to see eagles and maybe even whales! I’m a little worried about her being new to kayaking though. Anyone have tips on if this is good for beginners?

Just got back from the Eagle Island Sea Kayaking trip!

Wow, what an experience! We saw a ton of wildlife, including a few bald eagles swooping down near us! The guides were fantastic and made it really fun. It’s definitely cold on the water, so wear layers! Anyone else done this?
