Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the whale watching excursion?

A: Great question! There’s no strict age limit, but younger kids should be able to sit still and enjoy the ride. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, so they’ll help make it a fun experience for everyone. Just keep in mind that the boat can get a little bumpy, so bringing some snacks might help keep them calm!

Q: Can I reschedule if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes, you can! Kaimana Ocean Safari allows for rescheduling if the weather conditions are not safe for whale watching. It's a good idea to check their policy when booking, but generally, they’ll work with you to ensure you have a great experience.

Q: What should I wear for the whale watching trip?

A: Dress comfortably! Bring a light jacket since it can get a bit windy on the boat. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses! You’ll be out on the water for a while, and it can get pretty sunny.

Just booked the Kohola Whale Watching Excursion!

I'm super excited! I just booked this whale watching tour with Kaimana Ocean Safari for next month during our trip to the Big Island. I've heard the hydrophone is really cool, and I'm hoping to hear the whales sing! With only 6 people on the boat, it should be way better than those crowded tours. I’m a bit nervous about seasickness though. Anyone have tips?

Whale Watching Experience - Worth It!

Just got back from the Kohola Whale Watching Excursion, and I can’t recommend it enough! The crew was super knowledgeable, and we saw so many whales up close. The snacks were great too, and they even provided snorkel gear for afterwards. It was like a mini adventure! Totally worth the price!
