A: There's no strict age limit, as kids can definitely join the charter, but I recommend checking with the provider to see if they have any recommendations. I took my 12-year-old nephew, and he had a blast! They just need to be able to follow instructions and be safe on the boat.
A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty! Light layers are best since it can be cooler on the water. And don’t forget sunscreen and a hat! I wore flip-flops, but closed shoes might be better if the boat gets slippery.
A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the charter will typically let you know and reschedule for a later date. I had to do this with my trip and they were super flexible! Just make sure to keep in touch with them for updates. They really prioritize safety, which is great!

Hey everyone! I’m planning to surprise my dad with this private fishing charter in Kailua-Kona for his birthday. It’s a 5-hour trip and they provide all the gear. Just got back from the Kona fishing charter, and WOW!
I just returned from the 5-hour private fishing charter in Kailua-Kona, and it was totally worth it! The crew was super friendly and offered great tips. We caught a couple of mahi-mahi, and they even let us keep them! There was plenty of cold water, but we brought our own drinks. Highly recommend for anyone who loves fishing!
