Q&A

Q: What should the group wear for the fishing and snorkeling trip?

A: It's best to wear sunscreen, a hat, and light, breathable clothing. If you plan to snorkel, bring a swimsuit and water shoes if you have them. Don't forget sunglasses to protect against glare off the water. The crew provides all the fishing gear, so just focus on being comfortable!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Yes, the provider is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather. Just make sure to contact them as soon as you can. They want everyone to have a great experience, so they'll work with you to find a better day if necessary.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this charter?

A: There's no strict age limit, but the crew generally recommends this for kids aged 5 and up. They want to ensure everyone has a good time and can follow safety instructions. Just check with them beforehand if you have younger ones joining.

Just booked the Kona fishing/snorkel charter! Any tips?

I just booked the private charter on the OE II for my family reunion next month! We’re a group of 12 and I’m a bit nervous about making sure everyone has a good time. I think we’re doing the 6-hour trip and some snorkeling. What should I pack? Any must-dos while we’re out there?

Has anyone tried fishing on the OE II? What was it like?

I’m thinking of getting this experience as a gift for my boyfriend who loves fishing. Curious if the crew is helpful for beginners? Also, is the fishing good this time of year?
