Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the Kona Shore Excursion, but kids need to be able to walk a bit since it involves some hiking. It's mostly suitable for ages 8 and up. If you have really young kids, just be ready for a slower pace. They might also enjoy the coffee tasting and seeing the sea turtles!
A: The best time to do the Kona Shore Excursion is between April and October when the weather is usually best. Rain can happen anytime, but they provide ponchos. Just keep an eye on the forecast. Mornings tend to be cooler and less humid, which is great for the hike!
A: Yes! There’s parking at the port where the tour starts, which is super convenient. Just make sure to arrive a bit early as it can fill up during peak times. They’ll also have a guide who helps with the logistics.

Just did the Kona Shore Excursion and it was amazing!
I went on the Kona Shore Excursion last week and wow, it was worth every penny! The guide was super knowledgeable about the Cloud Forest and all the plants. Plus, tasting the 100% Kona coffee was a highlight! The turtle beach was breathtaking, and we even saw some sea turtles chilling on the rocks. Don't forget to bring a camera! I’m thinking about gifting this to my parents for their anniversary.
Considering the Kona Shore Excursion for a special gift! Any tips?
I’m looking to get this excursion as a birthday gift for my sister who loves nature and coffee. Is it really as good as it sounds? I’ve read about the coffee tasting and turtle beach, but what’s the hiking like? Should I be worried about her being able to keep up?
