To start off with you’ll cross Moli’i fishpond, an 800 yr old example of ancient Hawaiian aquaculture, where you will learn about sustainable fishing practices as well as our oyster farm and current stewardship practices. Soon after you’ll arrive at “Secret Island” where you will board our catamaran for an ocean tour of Kaneohe Bay. This tour offers spectacular views of Mokoli’i Island, Hakipu’u and Kualoa valleys, and the Ko’olau mountain range. If you’re lucky you may also see turtles or other wildlife. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: This tour requires guests to be able to climb stairs to board our catamaran. We suggest wearing appropriate clothing and sun protection.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Ocean Voyage Tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be able to climb the stairs to board the catamaran. It’s really great for ages 5 and up, but younger kids might still enjoy it if they’re adventurous. Just make sure they’ve got their life jackets on and can follow instructions on the boat!

Q: What should we wear for the catamaran tour? Any recommendations?

A: Definitely wear comfortable, lightweight clothing since it can get warm out there. A swimsuit under your clothes is a good idea, plus don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. If you’re going early in the morning, maybe bring a light jacket for the breeze!

Q: What happens if the weather's bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather isn’t cooperating, they’ll usually let you know in advance and offer to reschedule. It’s best to check their policy when you book. They’re pretty flexible as long as you give them a heads up!

Thinking about gifting the Ocean Voyage Tour at Kualoa Ranch!

I’m planning to surprise my partner with the Ocean Voyage Tour for our anniversary. I’ve heard amazing things about the views of Mokoli’i Island and the catamaran ride. However, I’m a bit nervous about the stairs to board the boat and if it’ll be too rough for us. Anyone done this before? Would love some insight!

Is the Ocean Voyage Tour family-friendly?

I’m looking to take my kids on this Ocean Voyage Tour at Kualoa Ranch, but I’m a little hesitant. Are there enough activities to keep them engaged? What’s the catamaran ride like for younger kids?
