Set on a working farm, the Meadery Experience is for guests 21 and older who want to explore the craft of real mead-making. Our mead maker was born and raised in Poland and uses old family recipes to create an authentic taste of traditional Polish-style Meads—crafted with local honey, fruits, herbs, and spices. All ingredients are sourced from small farms, many right here on our land, grown by producers we know and trust. Weather permitting, we’ll walk through the tropical and native ʻŌhiʻa forest where some of these ingredients are grown. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how raw ingredients are transformed into bold, fermented Meads. Our storytelling draws from Viking mythology—tales of gods, warriors, and the legendary Mead of Poetry—connecting the drink to its ancient roots. The experience includes a 375ml bottle of handcrafted Mead to take home. Phones down. Bottoms up.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this mead-making experience?

A: Yes, this experience is strictly for guests who are 21 and older since it involves alcoholic beverages. Just keep that in mind if you’re planning to gift it to someone younger. Make sure to bring your ID, too!

Q: What should I wear for the Kvasirs Meadery experience?

A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes and shoes since you’ll be walking through the ʻŌhiʻa forest and touring the farm. Also, remember that Hawaii can be warm, so lightweight fabrics are great. A hat and sunscreen might be smart, too, just in case!

Q: What if the weather doesn’t cooperate on the day of the experience?

A: If the weather is too severe, they may reschedule the experience. They’ll keep you updated and make accommodations if needed. Just reach out to them directly to confirm their policy if you’re worried about it!

Thinking about gifting the Kvasirs Meadery Experience, anyone done it?

I've been eyeing the Kvasirs Meadery Experience for a birthday gift. The fact that they use local honey and have stories from Viking mythology sounds incredible! I’m curious about the guided tour through the forest, too. Would it be suitable for someone who’s not super into mead? Any thoughts?

Can anyone share their experience at Kvasirs Meadery?

I’m thinking about booking the Kvasirs Meadery Experience for my fiancé and I. We’re both fans of mead, but I want to know if it’s really worth it. How was the mead? Did you get a tour of the farm? Any tips for first-timers?
