This is a fun downhill singletrack. It can get dusty and loose here depending on the time of year. There are a couple of steep sections that keep you on your toes. Count the number of rusty old abandoned trucks you find the canyons on the way down.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this electric mountain bike ride?

A: There's no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s best for teens and up since the terrain can get tricky. Younger kids might struggle with the climb and the downhill sections. Just make sure whoever you gift it to is comfortable handling a bike!

Q: What should you wear for this ride?

A: Definitely wear layers because it can get chilly in the morning but warms up during the ride. Good biking gloves are a must since it can get dusty! And don’t forget a helmet – they provide one, but if you have your own, it’s always nice to use that.

Q: How hard is the climb for beginners?

A: The climb can be challenging for beginners, but the electric bike really helps! You’ll still get a workout, but it takes the edge off the tough parts. Just go at your own pace, take breaks if needed, and enjoy the views as you go up!

Thinking about gifting the electric mountain bike ride - any tips?

I’m considering this La Crescenta to Montrose electric mountain bike ride as a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves biking but hasn’t tried an electric bike before. What was your experience like? Any recommended prep or things to know?

Just did the La Crescenta ride and wow!

I went on the La Crescenta to Montrose ride last weekend and it was a blast! The views of the San Gabriel Mountains were stunning, and the singletrack downhill was such an adrenaline rush. I got a little dusty, but honestly, it made everything more fun. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to challenge themselves!
