Q&A
A: Absolutely! The tour is family-friendly, and kids are more than welcome. Just keep in mind that younger kids may not appreciate the history aspects as much. Also, they might be picky about the food, but the French Dip and tacos are pretty kid-approved! If you have really little ones, consider bringing a stroller since we do walk quite a bit.
A: They usually go rain or shine, so don't worry if the forecast looks a bit wet! The tour has indoor stops, especially for the historical sites, and the food stops are also covered. They’ll let you know in advance if there’s a need to reschedule, but bring a light jacket just in case!
A: Parking can be a bit tricky in DTLA, but there are some public lots nearby. I recommend checking out the lot at 9th and Broadway—it’s pretty reasonable. Depending on your timing, street parking could also be an option. Just give yourself a little extra time to find a spot!

Just did the LA Food + History + Design Tour and it was amazing!
I recently took the LA Food + History + Design tour with my friends, and wow, it was such a cool mix of stuff! We started with this iconic French Dip sandwich, which was a total game changer for me. Then exploring Olvera Street for authentic tacos was super fun. The guide shared some incredible stories about the buildings we saw. Definitely worth it for anyone looking to experience real LA food and history! Plus, the donations to Climate Cents made me feel good about participating.
Thinking about gifting the LA Food + History + Design Tour!
I’m considering this tour as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves food and enjoys art and history. I just want to know if it’s really a good experience for someone who’s not super into walking. Like, how strenuous is it? Anyone have thoughts?
