Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the snorkeling tour at La Jolla Cove?

A: Yes, participants generally need to be at least 12 years old to join the snorkeling tour. However, minors must be accompanied by an adult. It's a good idea to check with the provider directly if you have any specific concerns about age limits.

Q: What should I wear for the snorkeling tour?

A: You’ll be given a wetsuit, so wear a swimsuit underneath. Flip-flops are fine for walking to the water, but I’d recommend water shoes if you have them for better grip on the rocky areas. Also, don’t forget sunscreen, even if you’re under the water for most of the time.

Q: What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

A: If the weather is too bad (high winds, heavy rain), the tour could be rescheduled or canceled. The provider usually contacts you a day before if there’s a concern. It’s smart to keep your schedule flexible just in case!

Thinking about gifting the La Jolla Cove snorkeling tour!

I’m considering gifting the snorkeling tour to my boyfriend for his birthday. He’s an adventurous swimmer and loves marine life. I read that you get to swim with sea lions, which sounds amazing! Just curious if anyone has done this and if you think it’s worth the money. Also, how was the experience with the guides?

Just did the La Jolla snorkeling tour – what a blast!

I went on the La Jolla Cove snorkeling tour last weekend, and it was absolutely amazing! The sea lions were so playful, and the sea caves are stunning. The gear they provided was top-notch too. Just a heads up: you really need to be a decent swimmer to keep up. Can’t recommend it enough for a day out in San Diego.
