Q&A
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit! It can get hot out there, plus you might want to jump in the water after paddling around. I'd suggest wearing water shoes or sandals too, as the beach can be rocky. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen—you're out in the sun for a while!
A: Kids can definitely join! They just need to be at least 5 years old to kayak in tandem with an adult. If they’re younger, you might want to consider a guided tour instead, as those are usually a little safer for little ones. Just check in with them ahead of time to see what options fit best.
A: Yes, you can reschedule! If the weather’s rough, they’ll usually let you pick another day to go out without extra fees. Just be sure to call them as soon as you know your plans might change. It's super flexible, which is great because weather can be unpredictable!

Just did the La Jolla Kayak Rental and it was AMAZING!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we had such a blast! We rented a 2-person kayak and paddled around the coastline. The views were unreal, and we saw a ton of sea life, including seals! The staff was super friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Just a heads up though, it can be a bit windy, so be prepared for some upper body workout. Definitely recommend this as a gift!
Thinking about gifting the La Jolla Kayak experience!
Hey everyone! I'm considering getting this kayak rental experience for my best friend’s birthday. She loves the ocean and I think it’d be perfect. Just wondering if anyone has done it with younger kids? I want to make sure it's safe for them. Would love any tips!
