Q&A

Q: Are the kayaks stable enough for kids? My 8-year-old is a bit nervous.

A: Yes, the tandem kayaks are pretty stable, especially since you'll have a guide with you! Just make sure your kid's seated in the front, so you can help balance. The guides are awesome at making everyone feel comfortable, and they have tips for nervous paddlers. It’s a fun way to bond, and kids usually end up loving it once they get going!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather looks bad, they usually let you know ahead of time and help you reschedule. They’re really good about communication! Just make sure to call or check the website the day before your tour to confirm. Safety is their priority, so it's worth it to reschedule for a better day.

Q: What's the best time of year to do the La Jolla Sea Caves tour?

A: Late spring and early summer are ideal! The weather is usually perfect, and you get to see more wildlife like baby sea lions. Fall can be nice too, but it gets a bit cooler, and you might want to rent a wetsuit. Summer is busy, so book in advance if you're going then!

I’m really excited about this kayak tour! It seems like such a unique experience to explore the sea caves and see wildlife. I’ve read that they have great guides who are super knowledgeable about the area. Just wondering if anyone else has done this? How was it? Also, any tips on what to wear?

La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour - Totally Worth It!

I just did the La Jolla Sea Caves tour last weekend and wow, it was amazing! The scenery was breathtaking, and we saw a pod of dolphins swimming next to us. The guide was so cool and shared some awesome facts about the wildlife. If you're considering it as a gift, go for it! Such a memorable experience!
